Campers will be introduced to the sport of fishing. Opportunity to fish for catfish using either casting rods or the cane poles the campers will be making. Campers will learn about Channel Catfish and the McDuffie Fish Hatchery. Campers will tour the Discovery Room to learn about native Georgia wildlife and take a hike in the swamp, participate in NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program), view zooplankton in the microscope lab and other fun activities.
Closed toed shoes and water bottle required. Remember most of the day will be outdoors, sunblock and hats are recommended. If camper would like to bring home any of their catch please send a cooler or bucket. Camp will be open if it is raining.
