This program is a joint effort between Georgia Becoming an Outdoors-Woman and Quail Forever.
Interested in learning more about quail hunting? This program is designed for women ages 18 and older and offers a hands-on introduction to quail hunting. Attendees will learn quail behavior, firearm safety, ethical hunting practices, and basic field techniques through a combination of classroom instruction and mentored hunting experience. The program is ideal for beginners or those looking to build confidence and refresh their quail hunting skills. No prior hunting experience is required.
Participants will have the option to request a lodge room for Friday night. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday. Firearms will be provided for use during the program, and participants do not need to own a firearm to participate.
“Adaptive equipment, such as EcoRovers, are available through the Outdoors Beyond Barriers program at this event. Please contact Linda Eipper at 770-784-3063 or Linda.Eipper@dnr.ga.gov with questions or to reserve equipment.”
A Georgia hunting license is required for anyone participating in this program. Licenses can be purchased online at www.gooutdoorsgeorgia.com.
