Adaptive Hunting Retreat is a 2-day event for 10 hunters with mobility challenges at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center. The Retreat includes an overview of the ActionTrac Chair and its operation, safety briefing and range time, deer hunt overview, guided hunts on Tuesday morning and afternoon, and a discussion of deer biology, habitat, and behavior. Each hunter/buddy team will be paired with a guide from DNR’s Wildlife Resources Division, who will share their knowledge and experience while guiding the hunter. The participant fee for this retreat is $37 that covers 4 meals beginning with lunch on Monday, 11/15 and running through lunch on Tuesday, 11/16 at CEWC Conference Center.
